James Johns: Battersea Power Station
James Johns uses drawing to document the urban landscape, achieving high detail through intricate and meticulous mark making. Each piece is removed from it's street context and surrounded by space to give it focus and attention. The choice of building is made not only on it's physical appearance, but also on the narrative behind the facade and it's transformation of function and use.
Battersea Power Station has been short-listed for the 2018 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
